Prior
to crossing the border, purchase Mexican Liability
Insurance for the number of days you expect to be in
Mexico. |

Directions from San
Diego via Coastal Route: |
|
|
|
|
| |
-
Take I-5 or I-805
South to San Ysidro.
-
Cross the
International Border into Tijuana.
-
Follow the road
signs to Toll Route #1 "Scenic Route" south toward
Ensenada. (You can pay the tolls in US dollars.)
-
Continue on Scenic
Route #1 past the 3rd toll booth. It takes about 1¼
hours.
-
A few miles before
entering Ensenada take the Route #3 exit toward Tecate.

Continue 17½ miles
on Route #3, crossing the Guadalupe River.

Just past the river,
turn left at the town of Guadalupe (a.k.a. Francisco
Zarco). The pavement ends soon, but continue on for
about 3½ miles, past Monte Xanic and Chateau Camou
wineries.

At the stop sign
(adjacent to the Unidad Médica Familiar building) turn
right and continue ½ mile more.

Adobe Guadalupe is
on your right.

Diego via Interior Route: |

Take I-805 to Hwy 94
East.

Take Hwy 94 to
Tecate Border Crossing.

Follow Route #3
south toward Ensenada.

At Guadalupe (a.k.a.
Francisco Zarco) turn right, then follow the
directions above.
